He does make lovely sandwiches. I do the cooking but he is king of the sarnie making. I dread the deelyboppers too emma.

Lily yes he can iron too cos I hate it, so if he needs a shirt he does it.

I was looking forward to your santa hat skippy, mind you I am sure it will suit Dave too. I cant find any flashy earrings yet, have seen a few badges, so may have to settle for that.
I will get some crackers too for those that prefer the more traditional head attire.lol. No fighting over the pressies in them though.

Anyway off to work for me, dont usually work friday but pulled the short straw this week. I havent even got changed yet and am leaving at ten past.

Ang xx

Just to reiterate for the Walsall one - if anyone wants a lift from the railway station on the Saturday, and back on the Sunday morning, let me know.

Melanie, i will have a look round Manchester as will be spending a few days there very soon on business.

I don't know where the last Manchester one was held but around Salford Quays is a good area to stay. They have a tram thingy which goes in Central Manchester and an Outlet Shopping Centre and bars and restaurants. There are many hotels in that area including a Premier travel inn and the Copthorne does not look to expensive on those dates and is lovely as I have stayed there before.

I normaly either stay in Salford Quays/Trafford Park area of the town as it near to where I need to be or if I need to be in the city I stay on Deansgate but this is really expensive.

I will have a scout around if it helps??

Me again.

Also think if the numbers are high again we would be far better of booking direct with the hotel and negociating a special group rate.

i recently booked 12 rooms at a Radisson in London for work and the rate online was £279 per room per night but on negociating with the hotel i managed to get that down to £140 per night inc breakfast ad parking!!!

Worth a go if you definately know who is attending[:)]

Emma - that would be great if you could find us a venue. I would have thought we ought to get at least 20 people attending Manchester.

Although the meetings are relatively informal, I was wondering if anyone would like to get a specific presentation on anything to kick off the meetings for the following year. Things such as IVA insurance, shopping on a budget, car financing, how to get through your annual review, employment law - are all things which regularly crop up on the forum, and we could arrange for some other experts to come along and do a quick 45 minutes to start off the meeting, before getting to the important stuff of socialising and having a few drinks!

Just a thought - and if you all want it we will put it on. Would be great to get some ideas.

I'll start a new post and canvas the others to see which date is most suitable. I can do any date in January.
