If you were not party to the claim, then it is understandable that your are confused and annoyed as to how something has been processed without your knowledge. I would be keen to understand how this has happened, and I think you need to take this matter up with your former IP directly.

I agree with you Kazzy! It's the principle of claims being made without your authority! Lets face it had you not paid 100p etc the money would not be coming back to you!! And yes I also agree that there are differing opinions on this forum and everybody should respect that! Some of the posts certainly appeared to be having a dig!! This happens quite frequently I have noticed!! :(

I don't think anyone is having a dig Muggins, but by the very nature of a forum everyone will have differing opinions and people will give their own take on things.

As Mel has said, the right route for Kazzy to take is to complain to her former IP directly if she wishes to.

Well it certainly appeared that way lem!!! Saying nobody died was not really the most tactful thing to have posted! Yes Kazzy does need to complain! They were highlighting an issue which is what this forum is for!!

I actually have no problem with lem's post. She did not mean anything by it all.

Why wasn't it? it was a lighthearted attempt to suggest that in the grand scheme of things Kazzy is a year post completion now and for her own sake in my opinion it's not worth getting so worked up about.

That's what it was, my opinion, we are all entitled to them, if Kazzy feels differently which obviously she does, that is fine, she has been advised on what steps to take.

And we all do, but I do think it's impossible to remain non judgmental when we are all offering our own take on things, that in itself is forming a judgment.

I personally don't think anyone was being judgmental on this one. Kazza was advised as to what she could do.

We have been here before, and will be again .... oftentimes a post is read in another vein to which it was written. Readers as well as writers do forget that, devoid of body language, meanings get lost in translation.

We are all friends here and all in the same boat and all we want to do is help and support each other and newcomers to the fold.

I am sure no disrespect was meant. I can see kazza's point in that there has been an invasion, if you will, of privacy --- possibly due to a breakdown of communication between EiF and DFD. However, an apology has been made and recompense of sorts offered.

If kazza wishes to take it further it is entirely her choice. However, opinions differ as to what each of us would do in the same circumstance. Personally I would draw a line under the whole, sorry, affair, but kazza must do as she thinks fit.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
