Try the Co-op bank (CashMinder) or Yorkshire Bank (ReadyCash) both have proper debit cards (Co-op Visa Debit and Yorkshire Maestro).

I had a similar problem whilst in my IVA and I used CashPlus, I had £100+ of debits taken and managed to dispute and get it all back.

I don't know about paypal, but presume its similar to credit cards.

If you have a continuous payment set up, ie., something that comes out once every year like car breakdown cover, then unless you cancel it with the company taking the money the cards will still pay the amount over. we had this recently with Egg and cardguard. Complained, rang CG and it was all sorted. took Egg slightly longer as they needed to adjust the account for missed payment charges...no way we were paying for something we hadn't asked for. Even if you cancel the card (we did last year with egg) it didn't matter, they still honoured the payment beign requested.

I have a paypal top up card and i find it brilliant for when i have sold things on ebay and watn the cash. it takes 24 hours (usually) to transfer to the card, where as to a bank can take a week........no contest the card is better.

It should be media feed you contact now, maybe by letter, but first I would try ringing them. emails are too easy to ignore

I've transferred cash to my bank from Paypal recently and it took three days on each occasion so I was well chuffed with that!

Continuous payments will continue to be paid unless you cancel with the creditor but with a prepaid card once your available cash hits zero they won't pay it.
