My eldest is in the 2nd year of Alevels when he finishes these he wants to do a 2 year hnd course .Theres a few things worrying me we;ll lose child benefit, tax credits for him but he;ll still be living at home what way will this affect our iva payments our monthly money will go down due to that will our allowance for him under the iva go down as well???Don;t know if im making much sense? He;ll only be working part time so we;ll still have to feed and clothe him, also if he applies for a student loan to pay his course fees will he be turned down because of our credit history???He knows nothing of our iva sorry for babbling on guys i need some advice [:I]

Your benefits will be affected, so it would make sense now to look at your budget for the future to see how it will affect the IVA. I am sure that you will retain some benefits whilst he remains in full-time education, but you will need to check this out with the DWP.

Your financial difficulties will not affect his ability to get a student loan.
