Send it again to the Data Controller - they should do something about it. You can get in touch with the credit agencies and put in a correction notice. It maybe that you need to wait until your completion letter comes thorough and then send off a copy to them.

Hi thanks for the advice- i am not to sure about a corrections of notice as i read somewhere this will stay on even after 6 years. This meaning when someone checks my file they will no i had a hiccup at sometime just not know exactly what - i will be writing to them again. Hopefully this resolves the situation. I am currently in contact with the FOS AND FCA. I am doing all i can. Tesco seem ignorant. They are just straight up refusing.

Not sure - I know I put one on and they didn't remove the default but it has had no impact on my credit scores.

First -- did you adress the letter you sent to the Data Controller at Tesco ? If you did then it is a matter for the ICO to take up for you as mentioned in my article: "If they refuse to cooperate complain to the ICO, attaching copies of correspondence to and from the creditor and proof of posting. It can take some time, but the ICO should convince the creditor of the error of their ways. "
