I have debts of £25000.00. A regular income of £1300.00 per month. We are just going for a mortagae that will be my husbands responsibiltiy to pay. If I take out a IVA will this affect the mortage in any way.My husband is unaware if the amount of my debt and I wish it to stay that way.

Hi hayley and welcome to the forum

Your IVA will not affect your mortgage, but obviously your share of the mortgage payments will need to be included as an expense of the IVA. What arrangements do you and your husband have for the sharing of household bills? In an IVA it is usual for partners to share bills in the same ratio as their earnings - for example if your partner earns 2/3 of the income and you 1/3 then the bills should be shared in the same proportion.
