Hi,

Ive been in an IVA for 2 years, i've just made an offer for Full & Final settlement. Hopefully once this has been accepted i'm looking to move house.

I understand the IVA will stay on my credit file for 3 years, will i br able to obtain a mortage once my F&F settlement have been accepted. I've got a deposit of 30-35%. If so what interest rate will I be looking at?

Hi. The IVA will remain on file until the 6th anniversary and it will be nigh on impossible to get a mortgage while it is there.

Have a word with Ryan and / or Shaun, two brokers with experience of adverse credit. You can find their details under the "Ask a Question" tab ( top left) and scrolling down to the experts details section.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

It can be very difficult to get a mortgage nowadays with a good credit rating and with an iva on file your rating will unfortunately be far from good. However you appear to have a healthy deposit but will need the help of specialist brokers. If you dont ask they cant say no!

Good luck.

Paul
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.
