Hi, I've been in an IVA for two years now and the company I work for has just been taken over. They want to issue company credit cards and fuel cards for expenses. I have checked with my advisor and they said it will be ok for me to have one but will I be issues with one as my credit check will be hopeless! Apparently they only check to see if you are bankrut so will that apply to me ? Thank you for any advice you can give.

Hi
That could be an issue for you.
Some companies class bankruptcy and an IVA under the same umbrella, afterall both are insolvencies.
I would approach your line manager in confidence or your HR dept.It will probably be best to raise your concerns now rather than later.
Let us know how you get on

I understand that with company cards/fuel cards they only process you will need to go through is a ID verification process.

It is the company that is credit scored not individual employees - as it is the company credit card rather than a personal one.

Hi
Agreed, but Tika states that they will credit search employees for bankruptcy,so if that info is correct then it may be an issue

I had read the message that the Advisor was to do with her IVA, rather than Tika's employer.

I have in the past set up company cards for employees and the only check was done was ID verfication. There was no credit checks or bankruptcy checks done on individual employees. This of course could have changed in the last year.

There should be no need to credit check individual employees if the employer is to be fully responsible for paying the bill.

Just got in from the pub - and could not resist a quick peek much to my husband's disgust who is calling me up the apples and pears right now! Will be back tomorrow.

That's what I would have thought.

Toothache ... up the pub ... so life goes whilst I am fast asleep then!

Please do Tika ... everyone's experiences are always useful here ... it is quite likely that your own will help someone else in the future [:)]
