Should I contact by cards companies for a balance before I contact an IP? I have the balance on my loan. I only have the last month’s credit card statements will this be enough? I do have all payslips and can download bank statements

I only sent the previous months statements when my proposal was set up-before it went wrong for other reasons, but this was ok.

Your last credit card statements should enough. The loan, is that the balance or a settlement figure you have? It has to be the total balance owed.

I would check that downloaded bank statements are acceptable. You may need to get proper ones as some companies won't accept ones you have printed out yourself.

Last month's statements will be fine, and you can continue to send the new ones to your chosen IP as soon as they arrive.

Some IP firms (we do this) will write to creditors and ask for balances to be independently verified in any case, so you may not need to have to chase creditors at all. And downloaded bank statements are perfectly acceptable - but do check with the IP first to be sure.
