I'm studying for my cert ed at the moment but still wiating to hear about my student grant application. if I file for bankruptcy before I receive the grant will it be seen as a windfall? The grant is to pay the course fee etc

No - the grant monies will not be deemed to be a windfall in your bankruptcy.
