Thank you. I know, I need to try and relax. Our other stumbling block is that NRAM and Lloyds need to agree to any proposed IVA as most of our debt is with them. We've been told they can be very difficult. So I guess, that's what we need to concern ourselves with right now.
Thank you again, I really do appreciate the information.

NRAM had just over 50% of our debt and were one of the few who bothered to vote-and it was a yes!!!
full and final accepted January 2015

iva agreed; August 2010
iva would have completed; August 2017
extra year thank's to NRAM

Thank you, that's good to hear. At least there is a possibility they'll agree.

I'm sure you will be fine kirsty,

I'm a born worrier & I understand what's is like when you make yourself ill with it. Your are taking good positive steps to addressing your debt problems so well done Hun, it take alit of courage to do that.
An IVA will enable yo pay what you can afford & your creditors will appreciate this, as they would get so much less if you were to go bankrupt.
Hang on in there & keep posting we are here to help & support you at all levels of your journey x
Final IVA payment made in April 2013, never ever thought we could do it or get through it but we did! X

Hi Kirst - I think these days as long as the creditors can see on paper that the IP is putting forward the best offer they will probably go for it. Try not to worry - you may have to adjust amounts slightly before approval. We had to increase our payments to £310 from £270 pcm, one firm wanted 72 months rather than 60 which we got removed - have some idea of the maximum you could pay even when the proposal has been signed so on the day you will be answer to agree immediately to any mofifications

I don't have problems with NRAM or Lloyds to be honest - they do have differing criteria but are pretty responsive to IVAs to be honest.

Hi Kirsty, just going back to your renting a property, I have been in rented for the last 5 yrs and have been in the IVA 7 mths and was in a DMP 14mths previous. I have always paid my rent on time and none of my landlords have been informed of my situation either by me or my IP. I think landlords were more interested in what my previous one had to say regarding my rent payments, luckily on that front I am squeaky clean! So I dont think you need to worry.
