Will the IVA affect career in banking?

I worked for a high street bank for 6 years and left in 2007. Since leaving I have taken out an IVA. I have now left my role as a Sales Team Leader and would like to get back into banking? Will the IVA affect my chances of getting back into a career in banking?

A number of banks do still have prejudices in employing people who are subject to ongoing IVA proceedings - but this may be dependent upon the type of role you are actually looking for. It would be best to check beforehand with any prospective employers to avoid disappointment in the future.
