I have now had an iva for a year, I am currently undergoing a credit check for a property to rent via a letting agency. Will the iva affect this? I am concerned it will cause a problem.

Your IVA will probably show up on your credit check.
However, that does not mean you wouldnt be accepted for renting. Different landlords have different views.

Good luck

I suggest that you discuss this overtly with the letting agency carrying out the check to see if they can offer you any advice. With the glut of buy to let properties vacant at the moment, anyone in a formal and disciplines debt repayment programme would represent the ideal tenant in my opinion.
