At the risk of incurring admins wrath, may I suggest that you give Size5 a ring? He is well respected on here and you can find his contact details in his signature in his post. He won't fob you off.

Similarly, Melanie Giles, who has also posted on this thread, is highly thought of. Give her office a ring, hers is a smaller firm, and again she will go through everything and tell you what is right for you.

It can't hurt to do that.

Thanks for the thought Jan. To Stuie, I would say, again, that taking a second opinion can never hurt.

To be fair, the way your posts read does suggest that you had covered food in living costs, and DFD seemed to think that you could enter an IVA whilst paying the same contributions as you are now (never worked that one out so I suspect there WAS some sort of crossed wire) but if that is not the case then perhaps something, somewhere was not covered which may make sense of everything in an instant.

All that said, it still doesn't mean that an IVA is right for you but I would be happy to speak to you, as I am sure Melanie or one of her team would if you do decide to follow this up.

Regards.

Pleasure.

I think we all read the posts differently, which is why I suggested the phone calls, so much easier to deal with that way.

Cheers for the reply all :)
and yes, i do live in Cardiff....
Melanie, i will call the number from your website later today, i was worried about calling an IP direct as such as it takes up there time to see the situation i am in, and not sure if you get charged £ to ask questions and put my case across. :)
But will try and get 10 mins of the 2 people that show very helpful on this website later today :)
Cheers
Stuie

There is no charge for advice - indeed the majority of IPs would give free advice initially, and if we can help we will be glad to do so.
