As you will be signing up with them BEFORE your BR as far as I am aware they will be a creditor. It doesn't matter when they tell you to pay them, you are not allowed to pay debts that occurred BEFORE your BR date.

By all means speak to their representative but don't sign anything until you have had time to read everything through and make sure that you are happy and all is above board. Personally I wouldn't touch a company who left a flyer on my car - there are some good BR assist companies out there but there a lot of rogue companies.

While they would technically be a creditor I don't think the OR would look too kindly on taking on a debt you have no means of repaying so close to BR.

Why don't you contact one of the experts who post on the sister BR site? They will be able to give you initial advice free of charge.

I agree with Skippy - this would not be treated kindly by the OR and I doubt this company would take kindly to being a creditor in your BR.

If you had a flier on your car then why would you not know the name of the company that is going to contact you?

I am finding this a bit strange.

Gavin I read your desperation, bankruptcy is expensive in itself and I know you want rid of your debt but don't get into any more to make this happen. I wish I could suggest something to help but I can't, just be careful Gavin. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I have to agree with Bradders - this is all very suspicious. Why on earth would anyone contact a company who leave a flyer with no company name and no landline phone number. I wouldn't have them in my house no matter how desperate I was.

There is something not right here...
