Do many applications get rejected? so far most people seem to do ok out of the proposals?

Congratulations by the way!

Hi jinx

Less than 20% of all IVAs presented are rejected by creditors, and with the new IVA protocol launched on 1 February 2008 we suspect that these numbers will reduce even further.

Do you think thats because the proposals are being done properly or because the creditors prefer them to the other options?

I would say that it is because trust is being restored amongst the debt and lending professions, and that both now have a better understanding of each others modes of operation and requirements.

Lloyds TSB still applying charges to my account I see this morning.

I guess I don't need to worry about this and just need to wait for them to realise I'm in an IVA? Even though the meeting was on Friday? :-)

Any post-IVA charges levied by the bank will not be included in the amount they are allowed to claim for dividend purposes. They are probably still updating their systems following the acceptance of your IVA so nothing really to worry about.

thanks for the speedy response Melanie.

I guess I'm used to finding something to worry about before I had an IVA, but feel so much better now it's all agreed.

sorry, just remembered I never posted the results of the creditors meeting:

Capital One: no
MBNA: yes
Tesco: yes
Lloyds TSB: yes
Sainsburys Bank@ yes

This worked out at about 81%.

Feeling much more positive now, but struggling a little bit for a couple of weeks, as I had to fork out for car tax.

Hi,
Can I please ask what percentage of the debt each company have.
Thank you
