hi,i currently have debts of approx 63000. i am employed by the military provost guard service (army) i own a property. and i feel that there is no light at the end of the tunnel as far as my debt is concerned. i bring home a decent wage, but i still cant seem to make ends meet without using my 3000 overdraft each month. would an iva be the answer to my problems. thanks. sam
On the face of it you could be ok for an IVA. How much disposable income do you have left after your priority payments have been made?

Hi Sam and welcome
An iva could be an option but you really need to speak to an ip who will be able to advise you properly. The best option for you will depend on your disposable income and equity amongst other things.

Could you please tell us
Who are your creditors?
How much do you owe to each?
How much disposable income do you have after general living expenses and bills but without paying your creditors?
Are you a home owner and do you have any equity ?
Hello samdh, there WILL be an answer to your situation and there may well be more than one option open to you.
All the details asked for above are important and will give us a much better idea, but there is no substitute for talking to a professional directly. Accordingly, a good place to start would be www.iva.com so that you can have a browse round and read the reviews etc, making sure you take time to speak to 2 or 3 providers to get a balanced view and then you can decide for yourself what your next step is. It is undoubtedly a big step that you will be taking, one way or the other, so make sure that you are happy before you go forward.
Good luck and regards.
