would an IVA stop the bailiffs

if I take out an IVA would it stop the bailiffs who are already after our possessions

Welcome tcO . Im not certain of the answer to your question and you need expert advice - which you will receive here. You probably need to give a little more info regarding your debts - the amount - how many creditors etc but an IVA if youre eligible will stop baliff action.-

An IVA will stop the actions of a bailiff, but only when the creditors meeting has confirmed it, so if you are at risk from this sort of action you will need to get cracking with your application.
