my two year fixed rate is coming to an end in may 09 with my current lender, with an iva would i be able to remortgage again with the current lender and get a good interest rate

You could certainly try and remortgage/get another product from your present lender, a lot will depend on their particular lending criteria at the time.

I would look to contact them about 8 weeks before your current product ends.

If you fail to get what you are after then you should contact a whole of market broker and explain your present position and what you are trying to do.
