I suspect because they feel that people are using that route to avoid paying national insurance - as this is not payable on income from dividends.

It is strange how governments change their minds. A few years ago when Gorden was holding the purse string he in troduced tax braeks for dividend payments, correct me if i am wrong but i think it was 10%.

This encouraged people to set up limited companies.

Later Gordeon saw the error of his way and increased the tax liability.

Now the revenue are clamping down.

Do you think it was thought out properly in the begining (this is not a political argument, just ecconomic)

Again lots to think about.
Melanie would you be the person to look at an IVA for me, or do i need to ask somebody else because i'm a subcontractor?

Any IP with experince in your field of employment would be best to use. A lot of the companies that ofeer IVA's only deal with straight forward employed people.

Who ever you have your first meeting with does not mean you have to go forward with that person.

Just get the advice evaluate how it fits with you and then take it foward.
