if i do an iva does this affect my wifes

Hiya Lee and welcome

Can you be a bit more specific? Do you both have joined debts, are you the one in debt and your wife not? Do you mean your wifes credit rating?

If you go into an IVA your wifes income may be counted as her part of your I and E (shared expenses) There would also be some equity issues to deal with but if she doesnt have any joint debts then her credit rating wouldnt be affected.

Lily is quite right,her credit rating should not be affected,however the reality is that it will be as husband and wife are linked financially in many cases and this is probably how the creditors will see it
