I think you should think long and hard what your priorities are in life - you have taken the steps of an IVA as you needed help with your debt issues, but here you already flittering away your budget each week - I don't smoke, don't drink etc either, but I don't spend £40 a week on a something that goes against the ethos of an IVA - if you can afford to spend this amount of money on gambling each week, then sorry, but surely your creditors should benefit from this amount instead !

I am sorry if you don't like my comment and don't take offence, but I feel very strongly that all in an IVA should pay everything they can into the pot!

£40 a month is still £40 a month that could be going to creditors. Some may say that they would love £40 a month so they could buy a nicer cut of meat or get a better pair of shoes for a child,so you can understand where some people are coming from.

Good luck with your IVA,and please have a think about talking to someone over the gambling.
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.

Well I don't smoke, don't drink, don't gamble and put 100% into my IVA, I may not have much of a life for 60 maybe 60+ months, but I'll hold my head up high and know I've paid back what I can and I can 100% say that any windfall that comes my way I will advise my IP of and deal with it accordingly.

I'm not being righteous or rude to anyone just stating how an IVA should be run in my humble opinion.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I am locking this topic as it has run its course and could get a bit out of hand!
