We had our meeting today and the only modification that was asked for was less money to debt free direct and more to the creditors. It doesn't affect our payments at all. I feel so relieved. We were prepared for bankruptcy if they said "no" but this is amazing. I know it will be tight for 5 years but I can see the future looking up already.

Bad luck on DFD but well done to you! We IPs are having to live with creditors cutting our fees - one day there will be no IPs left in practice!

I'm over the moon. I'm a bit worried as the M.O.T is due on the car and bike next month and we haven't had a chance to save any money towards it. That would usually be a job for the credit card. Can we sell our car and replace it with another one while on an I.V.A or do we have to give over the money we get?

Hi Mags,

You can sell your car but you'd probably have to put any profit into the IVA.
If you have any problems with the MOT just talk to your IP.

xx
