I never thought a) I'd get out of this mess b) it would be so relatively painless.
I picked a fantastic IVA company , had a fantastic case manager and everything else has fallen into place including an accepted proposal today by my creditors without modifications .

I feel elated at the moment , which is an odd feeling, given I'd got myself in such a mess financially, an IVA was the best solution for me definitely .

But make sure you use someone you gel with, who is honest , realistic and supportive . I have and my life has changed for the better .

Can you celebrate an IVA acceptance ? I will be. For anyone in the same boat - just do it!! It took me two years of procrastinating and worry to get this far and now that weight has just gone in one phone call [8)]

Well done Harrimav ---- it IS strange how we celebrate becoming "officially insolvent", but it is a start on the journey to debt freedom and sorting out the prvious mess, however it was caused in the first place.
It isn't an easy ride and full of ups and downs, but everyone here, as you know, will guide and support each other and the input from the Insolvency professionals is priceless.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Well done on joining the club!! Its normal to feel lots of emotions throughout the process, although the relatively painless part many would question(mostly when the car breaks and you have little/no spare to fix it!!!).

Onwards and upwards.

Paul
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.
