Brilliant news ... well done. I was also wondering about the £700 to HSBC?

Our daughter stepped in and saved the day by paying £700 to HSBC to get Hubby's IVA through otherwise they would have both failed - I think that the creditors that voted yes would have been outvoted by HSBC as we were only offering 34p in the £ HSBC voted No, others that voted no were Cahoot, Mint, Nationwide and Barclays. Those that voted yes were Morgan Stanley, Egg and American Express and Arrow came through today with a yes vote. (All thanks to Jim at GT - He turned round KMPG who originally voted no on the first meeting) The work Jim from Grant Thornton put in is unbelievable I can't praise him enough.
I will post full details when I get the chairmans report.

Thanks to everyone on the forum who have been supportive. I know that I haven't been around for a couple of weeks to be honest I was really scared to post anything in case the creditors got wind of the proposal, but I will certainly be posting and offering assistance and assurance now that this adjournment isn't hanging over us anymore.

Sounds like a stand off between creditors voting YES and NO.....so I guess HSBC had the casting vote with a bit of £££ encouragement. IVA meetings don't get as nail bitiing as this!! WEll done

How much did you own??

We owed c£110K but that might have increased won't know until we get the chairmans report as we were advised to stop making payments in April.
HSBC had 3 votes and 3 different accounts so that may have been it.
It was certainly nail biting I can tell you! if the IP hadn't managed to sway KMPG and Arrow it would have all failed.

You may have got just over 75%.....so let us know when the report comes in.....it was make or break.
As you have not been paying since April...all the more tension.

You'll be high for a few days....with this 'split decison'
