yorkshire Bank/clydsdale bank

I have been looking into opening another basic bank account just in case my step account gets closed....and have found that Clydsdale/yorkshire bank (linked) have basic bank accounts with a Maestro debit card and do not charge a fee and you get online banking and s/o and dd facility you have to go into the branch to open does anyone bank with them ??

Yes I do - I opened just before my IVA was accepted. The only question they asked me was "Was I bankrupted" and I said no. As far as I know no credit checks were carried out apart from the normal identity checks. That was in March and so far I've found them really good. I use internet banking alot to pay bills with no problem

Basic Bank Accounts

- Clydesdale Bank / Readycash / S/Os and D/Ds
- Co-operative Bank / Cashminder / S/Os and D/Ds
- Halifax / Easycash / S/Os and D/Ds
- NatWest / Step / S/Os and D/Ds

I have a yorkshire account.I opened it before and told what I needed.I informed that my credtit check would not be good,I needed a account for wages to go in and dds to be paid and debit card.That is what I hvae .So far has not had any problems no ques either.

I am 2 years into my IVA, has anyone tryed to open a basic account with a debit card once they were in the IVa as I am finding it impossible! Many thanks x

Hi
You will be accepted by "Think Banking" and you get a debit card.There is a monthly fee of £12.50 or £17.50 for joint acc plus a £25 one off fee.
It is a good account if you don,t mind paying.
