I think you are allowed £20 for pets per month. X

Thanks for the replies and support , still trying to get my head round all this

Are they set amounts they use for expenditure and not the actual amount it costs for things ? Also is it £20 a pet or £20 total ?

I'm not sure but I'd struggle to look after Harry (cat!) on £20 a month by the time I'd paid for his insurance, let alone a big dog!

Mine was £20 a month but from what I can gather from Andy's blog regarding their meeting with CCCS, they are just guidelines, so if you know what it costs for your two dogs, put it in and see what happens. £20 a month is not enough for insurance, flea and worm stuff and vaccinations![:(] Viki X

Have a little look at this, but they are just guidelines. X

As I remember ... when I was putting down the I& E for my IVA I put down my figures, then my IP came back to me and adjusted it ... there were some things that wouldn't have been allowed for and some things that I had forgotten to put down. So I would just fill in the forms as best you can Mark.

There was a lot of things on Expenditure that I hand't thought of and I am usually pretty good at that sort of things. There were somethings which were low and somethings which I hadn't thought of so it balances out. With regards pets my understanding is that if there is enough to cope with it without making your disposable income too low (in which case you can't cope with IVA) then the allowance should be comparative to what you pay out for your pets (within reason) mine is higher than £20 because I have 2 dogs and 4 cats.

Hi
Thanks for all your replies and support , I got all the forms sorted out and went ahead. it has been passed by the companies legal team and I am now waiting to see if the creditors will accept it (scary)

But the thing is I have made all the payments on cards and loan up to date but that now leaves me no money until i get paid again. So should i use a card for shopping or will this go against me once i have admitted i cant pay ? I cant afford to borrow off anyone so i am stumped as to how i will live until i get paid.

Hi Mark

We're just starting the IVA process, but were told as soon as we'd decided to go ahead that we should stop paying our creditors straightaway, and that way you have some money to live off and to put some away for the first IVA payment. Otherwise if we carried on paying our creditors we wouldn't be able to afford to eat!

Just to add to what Cath has said, you should not borrow anything from now on. Good luck, let us know how you get on, Viki X

Hi all

I have got the creditors meeting on 20th June have been asked to be available by phone when the meeting is on in case they want to ask me anything. Do they usually phone people when the meeting is on and if they do what kind of things do they ask ?

Also how long about does the meetings last and will they let me know if it has been accepted or not that day ? Still finding it all scary.

get paid tomorrow we can eat again [:D]

Hi,

They do not normally ring as far as I am aware it is just in case and you should know the same day if the IVA has been approved or not unless they adjourn for any reason

You will be fine. Once that meeting is over and approved you will feel like a massive weight has been lifted off your shoulders. I know I did at the time and it will go so quickly believe me. I only have 3 years to go!!!!
