Hi. Just competed my 6 yr IVA and awaiting CoC. Have 40k equity in my current home and an 80K sole mortgage. Need to move as have boy and girl sharing a room. Can you recommend anyone that would consider me for a new mortgage, with my husband - joint income £84k. Looking at house at £152k. Do I have a hope in hell?

Good Morning. Firstly congratulations on completing your IVA! Most people in your position are keen to review their position, having been unable to move or carry out repairs or improvements to their home for a number of years. The fact that you have previously had an IVA, in itself, won't prevent you from being able to secure a new mortgage but you will remain in a fairly narrow space for a few years. It's important to understand your overall position before it would be possible to say what is possible but it's certainly worth investigating.
