I am after advice on whether my partner and I are eligible to apply for a mortgage, and how I would find out how much we can lend? I am reluctant to approach a high street lender as I completed an IVA in June 2013, and feel it is likely we would be turned down. My partner and I both work full-time and currently rent through a private landlord. We do not have a substantial deposit towards a mortgage. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.
